Hidden Valley Work Day

Suggested work time is 1 hour. Special projects available with advance notification. Bring your own work gloves & a water bottle.
Tools, First Aid & refreshments are provided at work days. Troops are responsible for SafetyWise ratios and permission slips. 

We are expecting an afternoon of activities for your troop to help us with spring maintenance at the camp. Thank you for signing up! PREFERRED DEADLINE TO SIGN UP is midnight, Thursday Apr. 21--please meet this deadline so we can get projects assigned. (If you missed the deadline, sign up anyway.) Also, only 1 troop per signup time, so sign up early to get your preferred time. Specific signup times help everyone maintain physical distancing during check-in! If you find all slots are filled, contact those in charge (below), and we'll work something out.

Celebrate National Trails & Prairie Day at Hidden Valley

Join us at Hidden Valley on June 4 for National Trails Day. Friends of Hidden Valley is sponsoring three guided hikes; 8:30 am with Durand Reiber and Ken Lassman for Urban Habitats-Planting for Wildlife and Identifying Native Plants; 9:00 am with Karen Warner for an Introduction to Hidden Valley Day Camp; and/or 10:00 am with Gwen Macpherson and Margaret Townsend for Water is Life: Where is the Water at Hidden Valley, and is it Healthy.

Hidden Valley Fall Workday

Join us for cabin, yard and garden cleanup at Hidden Valley. Suggested work time is about 1 hour. Special projects available with advance notification.  Bring your own work gloves and a water bottle. Tools, first aid and refreshments provided.  Troops are welcome to contact the service project coordinator to plan their own service project. 

November 12, 1:00 - 4:00 pm Rain Date: November 13, 1-4pm

Hidden Valley Fall Wood Cutting and Maintenance Workday

Fall wood cutting support as well as maintenance projects in Mary's Meadow and Dogwood Forest. Special projects available with advance notice.  Check in at the "Gathering Place"
Bring your own work gloves and a water bottle. Tools, first aid and refreshments are provided at work days.  Scout troops are welcome to contact the service project coordinator to plan their own service project.

Bromelsick Christmas Party: Martika Daniels: One woman motivational stunt show

Haskell Auditorium, E Indian AVE, Haskell Indian Nations University

Tickets are free of charge to each registered Scout member. You may come as a troop with a leader, or accompanied by a parent following adult/youth supervision rules. A treat will be provided at the end of the day. Please bring items for Family Promise of Lawrence.
